Dr Mark Maritz has fellowship experience in orthopaedics, both locally and internationally, including the prestigious Guys’ and St. Thomas’ hospital in London.

He has previously held positions as the Head of the Department of Orthopaedics in a hospital in Kwa-Zulu Natal, as well as the head of the Foot and Ankle unit at Stellenbosch University’s Faculty of Orthopaedics. He currently serves on the Exco of the South African Foot and Ankle Society, as well as the Exco of the South African Orthopaedic Association. He has recently been appointed on the internationally acclaimed ISAKOS society’s’ ankle committee, furthering education in orthopaedic sports surgery.
