As one of only two international faculty members selected for this prestigious event, Dr. Mark Maritz of Busamed Paardevlei Private Hospital, South Africa, joined a distinguished panel of foot and ankle specialists for two days of intensive learning, live surgical demonstrations, and high-level academic discussion.
Instructor in arthroscopic techniques
He served as an instructor in arthroscopic techniques for ankle ligament repairs for ankle instability. This new and novel technique is widely gaining popularity for its rapid recovery for elite athletes. The technique is challenging and training such as this is vital for surgeons wanting to learn the procedure
He was also involved in lively panel discussions on minimally invasive techniques for foot and ankle surgery, and as a panelist in what is new and upcoming in global foot and ankle techniques.
